2011 saw Cladding Systems undertake some exciting major projects featuring both Nu Wall and Alucobond.
Cladding Systems is currently working on the Melbourne Market Relocation Project in Epping, as the insulated panel contractor. This massive project, under the control of Lend Lease, will see thousands of square metres of PIR insulated panel fabricated and installed over the coming months, in a complex array of exterior colours.
Cladding Systems was also the cladding contractor for the almost completed Sunshine Hospital project. Designed by Silver Thomas Hanley and built by Kane Constructions, this project contains some 6,500 square metres of Alucobond in a series of colours. Closely working with the principal architect and Alucobond both in Melbourne and Germany, Cladding Systems have been able to deliver material efficiencies resulting in client savings. Due to the combination of Cladding Systems fully recyclable suspension system and job specific sheet sizes (thanks to Alucobond), the waste generated in house and on site will be well below 3%. This has made a project of this magnitude extremely environmentally friendly.
Another major project for 2011 was the Northpark Private Hospital owned by Healthscope and designed by Health Science Planning Consultants. The principal architect introduced the Nu Wall 200 series profiles in an inspiring combination of colours and orientations. In conjunction with Nu Wall, Cladding Systems commissioned new 200mm width dies to produce Mono Ripple and Aero 200 series for the project. Nu Wall was introduced on this project replacing more expensive products delivering the client significant cost savings whilst still delivering a contemporary look and long term low maintenance. The principal architect was so impressed with the Nu Wall product he is using it on his new house.
After a successful project completed at Trinity College in Kew in 2010 (already featured), early in 2012 McIntyre Partnership, CDK Commercial Constructions and Cladding Systems will combine to undertake the next Trinity College project, the east precinct building in Kew. This new project sees McIntyre partnership specifying the Nu Wall 200 series as the main cladding feature.
2012 is also shaping up as a busy year with a number of projects shaping up in the 3rd quarter of 2012. Nu Wall in particular has proven popular with projects slated for February going to Perth (Mapel Builders) and NSW (Baylander Builders).
This year Cladding Systems is introducing a new timber look to our Nu Wall range, courtesy of our partner Knotwood™. Timber is inclined to crack and warp, needs constant re-painting, is subject to attacks by insects and termites, and cannot be used in areas that are highly exposed to heat and cold. This is not an issue when you use the Nu Wall timber look range - photos to follow soon.
Also being introduced in 2012 is a standing seam extrusion to complement our flat mono 200 profile, thus modernising our range even futher.
WATCH THIS SPACE...........stay tuned for more exciting project updates.
